This year, Rolling Meadows High School was a sponsor of a poster contest for the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese.  The theme of the contest was “Valorando nuestras raíces y construyendo nuestro futuro” (“Appreciating our roots and building our future”). A poster created by freshman Spanish 2 student Mikaela Carreon was chosen by the Chicago-area AATSP chapter to be one of only three posters to progress to national competition in the grades 9-12 division. Good luck at the national judging, Mica!

Attention Mustangs! The RMHS Rotary Interact Club is hosting a fundraiser to support ShelterBox Ukraine—a non-profit organization that will provide life-saving aid for families affected by the Ukraine crisis. This week, Interact students will be in the cafeteria during all lunches collecting donations. You can donate a dollar and receive a sunflower sticker – which is not only the national flower of Ukraine, but a world-wide symbol of peace, too. You can also donate a dollar to vote for a teacher to get pied in the face! If your name gets chosen, you get to be the one who pies that teacher! Top three voted staff members and three student winners will be announced on Friday, April 29th. Sticker purchases and votes can be made Monday through Thursday during all lunches! Please stop by to support this important cause!
