Finishing their season with a playoff run, RMHS boys soccer team is happy with how their year turned out.

Head Coach Peter Mikulak has emphasized the importance of working hard and staying focused during practice to improve and grow after each game.

“The challenges we faced this season are always staying focused and realizing that there is still work to do and improvements to be made,” Mikulak said. “We play in a tough league and there are no easy nights.”

Key players for the team include seniors Benny Masi, Jairo Diaz, Zach

Kacimi, Jacob Koutas and Benny Masi and juniors Alex Bielic and Pedro Botello.

“Bielic, Koutas and Masi have been important players in the midfield, while Botello, Diaz and Kacimi are key players on the outsides,” Mikulak said.

Overall, Mikulak is pleased with the way his players have worked all season.

“We have made strides this year and have often played well,” Mikulak said.

The boys won their first-round game at the Regional competition 4-0 against Glenbard East High School. However, the boys lost their second game 0-4 against St. Charles North High School.
