General

Law/Legal Pathway Students: Make sure to check your email for a form from Ms. García containing details for the upcoming District 214 Law Conference at Forest View on February 28, 2020 (a purple day). Field trip forms are due today in Room A213 – if you can’t meet this deadline please send Ms. García ([email protected]) or stop by A213 later on.

 

Spring Dance: Stampede is putting on the Spring into Spring weeklong event from February 3 – 8, including this year’s Winter Ball on February 8 from 7-10 PM. The theme is Roaring 20’s, and tickets will be sold through today during both lunches – make sure to bring your ID and $10 to buy your ticket.

 

Sing & Dance: Elementary of middle school students who love to sing and dance should look out for A Day With New Directions on Saturday, February 8 from 10 AM – 2 PM in the RMHS Theatre. Participation fee is $20 and includes a t-shirt and pizza. Family and friends are welcome to join us at 1 PM for performances. See Ms. Walsh in the Choir Room for more information.

 

SAT Prep: RMHS is offering SAT Test Prep classes on four Saturday mornings in the near future. For more details or to register, go online to the RMHS homepage under trending and look for the SAT Test Prep link. The deadline is Friday, February 14 at 8 AM. If you have any questions, please see the Assessment Team in B225.

 

Creative Writing: Looking for a place to showcase your writing or just practice? There’s a Creative Writing meeting on Wednesday, January 22 and every Wednesday after that in Room A122. If you have questions, please contact Mrs. Lussow, Jennalee Cox, or Lily Viytyk.

 

Sports

Theatre: Come try out for two unique student-directed plays titled D.O.A., a noir-murder mystery, or Finis, a one-act play that explores how three teens cope with the death of a good friend. If these plays spark your interest, consider auditioning on February 6 or 7 at 3:30 AM in the Blackbox Theatre. Contact Stephanie Svarz for more information.

 

Cheerleaders: Come support your Varsity Cheerleaders at Sectionals tomorrow at 5:45 PM at Niles West High School.

 

College

Robert Morris University will be visiting today in the CCR at 10:40 AM. On February 3, Savannah College will be coming in at 9:05 AM and Aurora University at 10:10 AM.

 

Collect a College Rep Visit from the CCR in order to attend.
